The familiar clacking of the train was all that was in her mind now.  Her fingers continued to rub the gold locket around her throat, eyes closed as she tried to regain the fond memories of a day long ago.  Amber's face was harder to see now, the details fading into memory.  No matter how hard she tried, she always seemed to lose a wrinkle here, or a dimple there.  She tried not to look at the picture in the locket, everytime she did so it only caused her heart pain.  Now was definitely not the time for her to be distracted in such a way, not when she was so close to the end of her journey. She waited on the train tracks, the low hanging fog surrounding her and shutting out the world.  It was that quiet that she loved, the sounds of the city far off in the distance being the only thing that interfered with her small moment of intimacy.  The leather handle of her violin case made an odd creaking noise in her long fingers as though the instrument inside was protesting against the silence of her world.  She had long sought to escape the universe around her and this lone train station, with the tracks that disappeared into the fog and off into some unknown adventure of its own, was her first step.  Her long dress russled around her
